Nauticsud in Naples, record 2022 edition: “+ 25% compared to the 2020 event”
The Nauticsud marks a further act. After having inaugurated the 2022 trade fair season, with the restart of the trade fairs at Mostra d’Oltremare of Naples, also recorded a growth in attendance and business in the first opening weekend. The event, organized by the Mdo body in collaboration with Afina, welcomed over 200 exhibitors and about 700 boats. «We started again in the best way – to be satisfied Remo Minopolipresident of the Mostra d’Oltremare – with the return of a fair that represents one of the best productive sectors, that of boating, in Italy.
The expectation and desire of the public was rewarded with a high-level exhibition which recorded in the first weekend, in comparison with the last edition held in 2020, an increase in attendance of + 25% ». The crowd of big events, at the box office, started from the inaugural morning, forcing the ticket office to open late to cope with the green pass checks and use of masks as required by the ordinance of the Campania Region. Even the football match between Naples and Inter on Saturday afternoon did not distract the boating enthusiasts who crowded the seven exhibition halls. The sun and the following public holiday then preferred Sunday visits and closed the record weekend.
“As organizers we are happy for the feedback from the public, but as entrepreneurs we are really happy with what happened in the first two, nine days, of the event – he declares Gennaro Amato, number one of the Italian boating industry association -. The sales recorded by the exhibitors are up sharply compared to 2020, reaching + 30% and, in particular, it indicates that the nautical market is experiencing more and more programming. An important fact considering the difficulties in supplying raw materials for us builders ». The positive trend for sales, however, is not only among boat manufacturers and retailers. In fact, even among the accessories and service companies the data is more than positive. Transport, technology segment, nautical schools have received numerous requests from visitors.
