A voice for San Marino: the Muriel case
Where there is competition, there is often controversy; but after all, the controversy is the pedestal of celebrities.
So, while the “Una Voce per San Marino” competition, created to choose the artist who will have to represent the Republic of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, is in full swing, Muriel (Mamusi) is disqualified from the competition due to direct links or directed with Media Evolution, the company that financed the competition.
In an information note issued yesterday afternoon, and in agreement with the Partner Institutions for the protection of the Festival and the participating competitors, Media Evolution rejects any allegation, confirming however the exclusion of the competitor for violation of the Regulations.
Official benservito, therefore, for the Perugian singer Muriel, also manager and organizer of events (The showroom of the show), already known to the public of “Striscia la Notizia” for having been the protagonist of many outstanding payments to artists she hired for her own events .
Produced by Roberta Faccani (one of the jurors) and Giordano Tittarelli (partner of Astralmusic, a label that is part of Media Evolution), a few days before the exclusion was official, she declared in an interview with a well-known music webzine, not to have received any valid reason for his exclusion from the organization and – moving forward – he would still have declared his working relationships with some personalities of the company in question, also expressing his disappointment for an economic outlay that would be necessary to help the exit of the individual, user as access credential to the competition.
However, that of Muriel Mamusi would not seem to be an isolated case.
Also for Camille it would be Cabaltera, Marco Saltari, Operapop, Tothem, Nada & Sissi, Kimberly Genil, Elisa Del Prete and Gynevra Bencivenga.
Not bad, rather bad, if you consider that access to the final on February 19 (broadcast on San Marino RTV) should involve one in six emerging players.
And yes, because the sixty Emerging finalists, who are clashing in these days in San Marino in front of the commission, will become ten; and during the evening – the televised grand finale conducted by Senhit and Jonathan – they will challenge as many and feared “Big”.
One of all, Achille Lauro, announced as a surprise big – last week – to close the shortlist of “big names” vying to represent the Titan at Eurovision.
With him – among others – Spain, Alberto Fortis (with Tony cicco & Deshedeus), Valerio Scanu, Blind and Matteo Faustini.
The rather convoluted mechanism in fact provides for three emerging semifinals, without the participation of citizenship and choice of language in the interpretation of the piece presented for the competition; plus one dedicated to single citizens of San Marino.
Attention, however, because there is also the repechage semifinal, which will also be broadcast on RTV on February 17 and which will still give hope of access to the final to five emerging players – Mad, Kumi Watanabe, Giada Varaschin, Gisele Abramoff and Maria Chiara Leoni – already designated, despite the emerging semifinal is still in full swing.
He leaves the position of juror before the tsunami turns into tsunami, Emilio Munda; while Roberta Faccani is transferred as a juror to the semifinal reserved for San Marino only.
Still secret, however, the five jurors designated for the grand finale that will be announced only on Friday 18.
