RUSSIA

This is our holiday! Why Russia should be proud of its victory in the Valieva case

Sugar Mizzy February 14, 2022

A positive court decision for us is the merit of everyone who supports Camila and defends her rights. This is our common merit!

Well, the organ! You can do everything clearly, competently and win not only on the decorative site, but also in the legal field. We can unite the whole country, envelop the response and love of those who find it difficult. And intercede. And defend. And I rejoice at the common victory as the capture of the holiday.

The way Russia has shown itself in the dramatic story around Kamila Valieva has raised genuine pride. For those who support in social networks and the media, who have flash mobs from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, who roared at night unable to sleep, who prayed for this fragile 15-year-old girl, who is often compared to a fairy or an angel who descended to earth.

Pride for those who immediately chose the only possible form of behavior. Who did not succumb to hysteria and did not go into conspiracy theories. Who methodically and quickly calmly fought for Kamila Valieva to have a legitimate opportunity to become the main events in life. For seeing (and now probably billions) people just saw this beauty, felt the power of her talent and understood why our girl is considered unreal and the best in history.

We must fight for justice, otherwise there will be no triumph. And in the case of Valieva, Russia faced this fighter in cold blood and won. Questions that all these days seemed rhetorical were heard by the judges of the CAS visiting committee.

Why did the test result come in a month and a half after taking it? Why should a 15-year-old figure skater be held accountable like everyone else, if the law clearly defines the status of a “protected person”. It is these arguments that are found in the motivational part of the CAS decision. And this is a direct consequence of the fact that the Russian side is found to largely capture the essence, brush aside all theoretical conspiracies, and correctly communicate their mistake. When we speak like this, we are heard.

And it is not necessary now that the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport does not mean Valieva’s non-involvement in the violation of anti-doping rules. All respected organizations will definitely use all leverage to annul Kamila’s results in Beijing and awarded the Russian team gold in the team tournament. That nothing has ended, but everything, in fact, is just beginning.

Now is the time for joy and pride. In the end, we got these emotions at the cost of internal torment, suffering and experiences. So, it is necessary to rejoice and be proud too.

And the reward for the nights of despair

There will be an eternal polar day!
