The Herforder EV has to play away with the Hannover Indians
Reading time: approx. 1 minute
Head coach Michael Bielefeld’s team still has 14 games to play in the main round, which will decide where the journey will go this season. The HEV is currently only in 11th place in the table and needs points in the long-distance duel with the Moskitos Essen and the Rostock Piranhas in order to repeat the top 10 of the league, combined with participation in the PrePlayOffs.
Due to the currently small player squad, Herford is also a clear outsider with the Indians, but recently showed a lot of morale against Tilburg and especially against the Hannover Scorpions in a very similar situation and sold each time. Picking up something countable will again require disciplined performance and a willingness to fight for every inch of ice.
The Herford coaching team looks set to fill up bit by bit in the coming days with the return of recently absent players. The extent to which players are already returning to the horse tower is currently in the hands of the medical department of the HEV, which closely monitors the state of health after returning from quarantine and isolation measures.
The encounter at the Hannover Indians will be live on www.sprade.tv and is currently the only Ice Dragons game planned during the week. The regular game continues on Friday in Krefeld and on Sunday at home against Black Dragons Erfurt.
