Danger of traffic jams due to lane closures on the A1 in the greater Salzburg area, A10 two-way traffic area near Werfen due to bridge construction work, A10 tunnel renovations today still without two-way traffic areas

In the greater Salzburg area, there will be delays in 2022 due to lane closures on the A1 at peak times. The area from the Salzburg junction to Thalgau is affected. The release of breakdown lanes at busy times does not come, the evaluation brought a negative result in this regard. On the A10, traffic in the Werfen area will be routed in oncoming traffic until September. The reason is bridge work. The tunnel renovations on the A10 will not begin until September. This year the traffic will still be guided in a two-lane pivot. Oncoming traffic areas in the tunnels will still be spared for road users in 2022.

The construction sites in detail

  • A1, Westautobahn, Mondsee – Thalgau, March – April, only night work, one-lane traffic routing on two weekends, 2+1 for two weeks from Monday to Thursday, low potential for traffic jams
  • A1, Westautobahn, Thalgau – Wallersee, April – September, two-lane swiveling, or two-way traffic routing 3+1, medium potential for traffic jams
  • A1, Westautobahn, Salzburg Mitte – Salzburg junction, mid-June – November, 3-lane swiveling, ramp closures, lane closures at the weekend, high potential for traffic jams at peak times
  • A1, Westautobahn, Salzburg Airport – Salzburg Siezenheim, January – July, breakdown, lane and ramp closures, medium potential for traffic jams
  • A10, Tauernautobahn, junction Salzburg, connecting road in the direction of Walserberg, March – June, two-lane swing, one-lane traffic routing for four weeks Monday 9:00 p.m. to Thursday 5:00 a.m., high potential for traffic jams
  • A10, Tauernautobahn, Hallein – Golling, March – July, two-lane swiveling, RFB Villach until July 1st, RFB Salzburg until July 29th.
  • A10, Tauernautobahn, Golling – Werfen, tunnel renovations, from September, two-lane swiveling
  • A10, Tauern Autobahn, Pass Lueg – Werfen, until September, oncoming traffic area, low potential for traffic jams
  • A10, Tauern Autobahn, Zederhaus, April – November, oncoming traffic area, low potential for traffic jams
