Olympiacos: Printezis made history with two-pointers – Basketball – Greece – Olympiacos Basketball

Sugar Mizzy February 14, 2022

Another great performance by George Printeziswho became the 3rd player in the professional league that reaches 1,200 accurate two-pointers.

The leader of Olympiacos
has in front of him only Panagiotis Liadelis (1,462) and Walter Berry (with 1,399).

Analytically:
“An achievement with a historical tone jumped from the numbers of the match between Olympiakos and Lavrio Megabolt that took place tonight for the 15th match day of the Stoiximan Basket League. George Printezis became the third player in the history of the professional Championship to reach 1,200 accurate two-pointers.

The captain of Olympiacos had 4/5 two points and with these he completed the 1,200, a number that reached only Panagiotis Liadelis and Walter Berry before him. The absolute numbers and percentages of the first three on the relevant list of the Stoiximan Basket League…

1.Panagiotis Liadelis 1,462 / 2,909 (50.25%) in 325 matches.

2. Walter Berry 1,399 / 2,570 (54.43%) in 170 games.

3. George Printezis 1,200 / 2,038 (58.88%) in 374 matches.

Also, Printezis with the eight points he scored against Lavrio Megabolt, became the 11th player in the history of the professional Championship that exceeded 3,600.

Otherwise…

* George Bartzokas reached 260 on the bench of the category and rose to 16th place in the relevant list with the payments of the First National (from 1963-64) after surpassing the late Themis Holevas.

* Giannoulis Larentzakis through his 210th game in the Stoiximan Basket League reached 200 accurate three-pointers. It had 2/3 today and now counts 200/642 (31.15%).

* With the eight points he had today, Costas Sloukas surpassed 1,400 in his 201st game in the category.

* Michalis Lountzis made two cuts today while he had one of his 10 previous appearances this year in the Championship. However, it was not the first time that he made two blocks, since he had so many last year as a player of Prometheus in the away game of the regular season with Peristeri Vitabiotics.

* The 500 defensive career rebounds were reached and surpassed by Sasha Bezenkov, having seven in today’s match. It took 131 games to reach that number.

Jean-Charles is the second fastest with a double-double
Livio Jean-Charles He made his best appearance in the Stoiximan Basket League, reaching a double-double for the first time with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Frenchman, who was the top of Olympiacos with 27 rankings, set individual records not only in the rating system – he had 19 in the previous game with AEK – but also in rebounds since he had not exceeded eight in his previous 11 appearances. At the same time, he equaled his record with the 12 points he had against AEK in Ano Liossia.

With the double-double of Jean-Charles, Olympiakos now has five different players with such performance (the rest are Vezenkov, Fal, Wokap and Sloukas), a number that has reached Iraklis while there is no other team with more than three . It became the seventh “red and white” double-double in this year’s Stoiximan Basket League and with this Olympiakos reached Iraklis in the second place of the relevant list behind only Aris who has eight.

The Frenchman became the second fastest to reach a double-double after it took just 19:56 minutes on the floor. Only Vassilis Christidis needed less after he did it at 18:36 in the match of Peristeri Vitabiotics also against Lavrio Megabolt in the 13th match.

Alongside Jean-Charles became the fourth who reached such a performance while having at least one assist, one steal, one stopper and remaining without error (12π, 12ρ, 1ασ, 1κλ, 1κοψ, 0λ.). The same was done by James Kelly of Mars on the 9th, Usman Krumbali of Larissa on the 3rd and George Tsalbouris of the Apollo Oscar two days ago.

The second half set a record

The second half showed some new period records …

* These are the 60 points scored by Olympiacos since the previous one was that of 59 also in the second half that it had in the matches of the premiere with AEK, the 2nd game in Lavrio and the 9th game in Larissa.

* These are the 18 points that Lavrio Megabolt had, after scoring one less than those that Apollon Oscar had in the first half of his match in Rhodes for the 2nd matchday.

* This is the record of the season and the difference of 42 points of the second half (60-18) since the previous one was that of 29 that Aris had from Panathinaikos OPAP in the second half of the match of the 1st round (57-28).

* In tonight’s game there was the biggest difference in the team rankings since Olympiacos had 150 and Lavrio Megabolt only 29. The performance of the laureate team is a negative season record since the previous one was the 35 that Ionikos had in the game with AEK for the 5th race.

* The “red and white” +121 is a new record of the season since the previous one was the +118 (160-42) of Olympiakos in the matches of the 12th game against Ionikos.

Geromichalos in the top five of the “thieves” of Lavrio Megabolt
Petros Geromichalos spends his third season in Lavrio Megabolt and through tonight’s game he “climbed” in three of his historical lists. More specifically…

* Stealing the ball twice, he entered the top five of the relevant list and became the 4th “thief” in the history of Lavrio Megabolt in the Stoiximan Basket League. He reached 53 and surpassed Sakis Giannakopoulos, Demarius Bolds (51), Tyson Carter, Mackenzie Moore (52).

* With the three assists he had at SEF, he became the 6th passer of the laureate team after he reached 106 and surpassed Doron Lamp who had 103 playing for this season 2017-18 and 2018-19.

* Today was his 65th game with Lavrio Megabolt in the Stoiximan Basket League, “catching” in 6th place in the list of Sarantis Mastrogiannopoulos who played in the team from 2018 to 2021.

Otherwise…

* With the six rebounds he had today, Vassilis Mouratos entered the top five of the relevant list of Lavrio Megabolt. The international guard reached 186 and tried Alfa Diallo, who had 103 last season.

* Nikos Persidis was the only player of Lavrio Megabolt with a double-digit number of points (11). It was the third time that the team of Christos Serelis finished a match with only one player to reach at least 10, after the same was done against Ionikos in the 6th and Peristeri Vitabiotics in the 13th match.

* Rasad Vaughn scored his 16th zero performance of two-pointers with at least four attempts (0/4). The negative record is shared with 0/6 by Stefan Pot (3rd), Michalis Tsairelis (9th) and Vangelis Margaritis (11th match) “.
