The head of the All-Russian Society of Motorists Valery Soldunov in an interview with RIA News revealed new rules for obtaining a medical certificate for Russian drivers.
According to the expert, Russians who have lost the right for drunk driving or refusing a medical examination, from March 2022, are required to take tests to obtain a medical certificate.
At the same time, earlier after the arraignment in the arraignment in the general order, that is, not passing a blood test and other tests of the prosecution. “According to the new rules, if a driver was deprived of the right to drive a car while intoxicated or for refusing a medical examination, it is easy for him to take these tests without fail,” Soldunov noted.
He also stressed that for ordinary drivers who do not violate the rough rules of the road, nothing fundamentally occurs. However, if a doctor on a medical examination reveals signs of chronic alcohol or drug addiction in a person, he can be sent for testing.
“We are talking about adult signs: a person comes, and if the doctor sees that his hands are shaking or his hands are punctured, then such a person can be sent to take tests,” the expert explained. He added that it is not only about those who were obliged to rights, but also those who receive them for the first time.
Last November, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation developed new procedures for obtaining driver’s medical certificates. The document proposed by the department defines the risk group, which may include drivers with the identification of infection with narcological disorders.
