Wintercup in Ruggell was launched – Liechtenstein
RUGGELL – With great football weather, there were interesting parties in the first round of the Triet Storen Wintercup in Ruggell, the anticipated preparatory tournament, last Saturday. Ruggell celebrated a clear 5:0 victory against Rüthi, Vaduz II and Triesenberg played 0:0.
FC Blau-Weiss Feldkirch and FC Gams faced each other in the first game. Feldkirch took charge at the start of the game, but Gams surprisingly took the lead. The Montfortstadt team were able to equalize before the break whistle. In the second half a game develops, the result doesn’t change anymore. After that, FC Vaduz II and FC Triesenberg dueled. The FCV youngsters tried to dictate the game with speed, but Triesenberg held up well and had two top-class chances towards the end of the game, which could not be used. So it remained a performance-based 0:0 draw.
Ruggell wins 5-0
There were also many great moves in the game between FC Ruggell and FC Rüthi. The home team shines with a cultivated build-up game and was able to open the scoring in the 21st minute. The Rüthners had trouble against the brisk approach of the Ruggelians, who had the game under control and scored four more meetings for a clear 5-0 start win.
At the end of the first day of the game, there was a varied game between TSV Altenstadt from the Vorarlberger Landesliga and FC Buchs. Altenstadt took the lead in the first minute of the game after a misunderstanding in the Buchs back line. But Buchs got into the game better and was able to equalize in the 33rd minute. After the tea break, the Buchser clearly kept their fingers on the trigger and finally won the game 4:1.
