the Toulouse international contemporary art fair
An original work of art, at an affordable price… why not go to the contemporary art fair in Toulouse this Sunday? 200 painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramists are present at the MEET, the new exhibition center.
Collectors, amateurs, experts or simply curious, the art3f contemporary art fair in Toulouse is the opportunity to spend a good Sunday and indulge your passion. Launched in 2016, the Toulouse show is growing.
Painting, sculptures, photographs, ceramics, everyone should find what they are looking for as long as the panel of artists is wide and very varied. This is a first for the MEET, the new exhibition center in Toulouse which is hosting this event.
Once again, the artistic level of the show is of good quality and the trend this year is very pop and flashy. Colors that go perfectly with Perrotte, an artist from Haut-Garonne of Catalan origin. Jvery inspired by the Barcelona school where the brilliance and expressive power of bright colors are evident, this admirer of Miro and Picasso appreciates being present.
This year, he is also offering canvases painted on stainless steel sheets and hopes to find a new audience. “Sometimes you have between 1,500 and 2,000 flyers that leave over the weekend. People keep them, even if they don’t have the opportunity to buy now. I have people who came back several years later to buy, saying to myself: I kept your card.”
This is also the strength of this type of fair: bringing together works and artists.
Catalan too, the Perpignan painter Kiko is on the rise. Approached by an artistic agent at the show, his works are now exhibited in galleries all over France.
A worthy heir to Pop/Street Art artists, Manuel Fernandez, alias KiKo appreciates: “This type of show opened a lot of doors for me, a lot of exchanges and knowledge, and sales as a result.”
A marketplace shared by more than 200 exhibitors, artists and galleries from France, Europe and elsewhere. In 2020, 1081 works were sold at the fair.
The art3f fair (for “3 borders”), took place for the first time in Mulhouse, at the heart of the Swiss, German and French borders. The concept is to bring artists, galleries and the public to the same place. Toulouse has organized it every year since 2016, with about fifteen cities in France. The artistic platform is protean, conducive to exchanges. The artists are often present and the prices remain correct (between 500 and 6000€) for original works.
We want to favor artists with affordable prices so that this fair does not become a museum. Everyone must be able to have a crush and leave with the work.

In the public, the same concerns are felt. Some are there to dream, to sharpen the artistic eye, others to buy. As this lady met on the spot: “for an image retained it is already 200€. I think it is better to make the effort to put 500 or 1000 and to have a piece by an artist because it is an original creation”.
The next show will be held in Nantes from March 11 to 13. As attendant,
neophytes and connoisseurs have until Sunday evening 7 p.m. to find what they are looking for in Toulouse.
