The biggest city of Prague, Prague 4, has the first electoral coalition. The STAN and KDU-SL committees have confirmed an agreement on joint action in the upcoming municipal elections.

Both nationwide parties ran together in Prague 4 in 2018. They currently work in a joint opposition club in the Prague 4 City Council and have decided to continue their cooperation for another term. For the next three years, both parties want to play a key role in the management of this city. The joint candidate will be led by a leader from the STAN Luk Zicha movement, who is also a candidate for mayor.

I am very pleased that there have been agreements on a continuing coalition with the People’s Party. Our basic topics, such as affordable housing, digitalisation of the series, modern customs, and culture, perfect management of urban greenery and the environment in general, are complemented by a partnership of partner experts on family and social policy. From the past, we can be proud of, for example, the construction of the Lhotka bio-swimming pool, the efficient repair of innovative houses, the construction of attic apartments and the promotion of social events for the elderly. We will continue to strive for maximum transparency of the town hall, which is for an open relationship with citizens in the city around one, said the leader of the candidacy.

The chairman of KDU-SL in Prague 4, Tom Kaplan, added: Our electoral cooperation with STAN is a logical continuation of work in the Prague 4 council and thus a logical presentation of proximity programs and, last but not least, personal courts between members of both parties.

In Prague 4, there will be no merger between ODS, KDU-SL and TOP 09, which, as a group, SPOLU increased in the local parliamentary elections.

Municipal elections have local relations specifics. We approached KDU-SL to serve the coalition TOGETHER, but therefore they are in the opposition with their ruling half, they decided to form a group for the opposition. Although I will not disappoint that I do not want to repeat the coalition TOGETHER even at the level of Prague 4, I respect their decision and wish them a lot of fun, said ODS in Prague 4 and chairman of the ODS regional association Marek Benda.
