Monaco-Lorient (0-0): boredom benefits Hake
Finally revived after their convincing victory against Lens last weekend (2-0), FC Lorient hoped to confirm, this Sunday, on the lawn of AS Monaco. Opposite, the Rock club intended to cling to its dreams of a podium. At Ludwig II, no one pulled off the right move.
Monaco at its own pace…
In the first half, the locals tried many times, but the Monegasque talents had to settle for silence. The Brazilian Vanderson, for example, obtained several situations (4th, 34th), without success. Aurélien Tchouaméni (26th) and Wissam Ben Yedder (28th) were perhaps not more inspired, unable to find the opposing frame.
Not to miss
Solid defensively, FC Lorient was still content to defend after returning from the locker room, taking advantage in particular of the apathy of the ASM players, visibly blunted by the Coupe de France match played three days before. Christophe Pélissier’s men did not have to do too much to contain the rare offensives from the locals, which were too messy.
Decisive Dreyer on the Merlus side
Mathieu Dreyer nevertheless intervened twice. First, against Jean Lucas (58th) following a corner. Then, very nicely on a resumption of the head signed Wissam Ben Yedder, on the lookout in the penalty area (82nd). With this sharing of points, ASM returns to ahead of OL in the standings, and settles in 7th place in Ligue 1. The good operation is for the Lorientais, who will therefore turn around to turn the points counter.
