The DEAC women’s sword team at the junior ob is a bronze medalist
In the semi-finals, Battai Sugarék remained in a tight battle against BVSC, and then they won the third place in the bronze match, beating Törökbálint. Like the girls, the boys closed the weekend as the best rural association – in seventh place.
On Sunday, the national championship of junior (U20) swordsmen continued at the Geradich Aladár National Sports Hall in Budapest. The women’s sword team from Debrecen, which will stand on Saturday’s individual ob-winner Battai Sugi, competed with UTE in the quarterfinals.

Three other members of the team, Simon Petronella, Csenge Kónya and Liliána Tóth also took part in the smooth victory of 45:32. In the semi-finals, the team from Debrecen had the advantage against BVSC two laps before the end, and in the last two assists the girls from Budapest turned the match, eventually winning by 45:40. The Sugi were able to take comfort in the bronze match, defeating Törökbálint with confidence and driving all the way.
The men’s DEAC team, composed by Marcell Bányay, István Czeglédi, Mátyás K. Szabó and Vince Sápi, started the competition a lap earlier, between the 16th, where they crossed the KVSE band with a success of 45:22. The Bányay family had a fair place to get between the four (33:45). In the continuation, the students of László Dávid took the seventh place in the lower division.
