Covid-19 in Portugal: 38 deaths and 16,132 cases, the lowest record since January 2 | coronavirus
Portugal recorded this Saturday 16,132 cases and 38 deaths from covid-19, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) released this Sunday.

The number of cases this Saturday is the lowest in more than a month. Not counted were so few cases from January on the 2nd (day 3 bulletin), when 10,554 identified were identified. The low figure is partly explained by the fact that weekend reports are lower due to a lower volume of testing.
The situation report indicates that there are 2298 people hospitalized, 66 more than the previous day, with five fewer in intensive care (total of 155).
A further 31,579 people recovered from the disease, for a total of 2,495,002 recovered. By this time, 80.9% of the cases had recovered from the disease. Excluding recoveries and deaths, there are currently 529,728 active cases (15,485 less than the previous day), around 17.2% of those identified. The case fatality rate continues to decline and is now at 0.67%.
The region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo almost two thirds (64, concentrated and 5% of national cases), with 511 5293 intimate items and 5% of the North, respectively. A further 3042 cases were identified in the Center region, 870 in the Algarve, 761 in the Alentejo, 647 in the Azores and 406 in Madeira.
In terms of age distribution, 26 of the 38 deaths were of people aged 80 or over (15 women and 11 men), adding up to seven deaths in the 70 to 79 age group (five women and two men), four in the household from 60 to 69 years old (two women and two men) and the death of a woman between 40 and 49 years old.
