The Vice President of Bulgaria opened the State Championship in Taekwondo – Fighting – Others
More than 800 athletes will take part in the State Taekwondo Championship, which started today. To be officially opened by the Vice President of Bulgaria – Mrs. Iliana Yotova, and the solemn ceremony of the Republic was also attended by the Ambassador of Korea – HE Lee Ho Chic and BFT President Slavi Binev.
Vice President Yotova shows her great support for the head of the native taekwondo Slavi Binev. Yotova, who has a black belt during the division that the state is doing everything possible to support sports in Bulgaria.

For his part, the chairman of the BFT Slavi Binev shared that this State Championship will remain forever in the history of Bulgarian taekwondo, after the Presidential Institution will be this high honor, and the Vice President of the country to open the championship. Binev added that the sport of taekwondo is no longer seen only as a martial art, but it is a role model, a sport that creates personalities. The foreign institution has also shown that you support the presidential figure, who forges, and unfortunately this is missing in Bulgaria. Addressing the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Slavi Binev said that the biggest advertisement in Korea is not that they create successful phones, car brands, but that they create unique personalities to make society better and more – Strong.
Ambassador Lee Ho Chic also greeted those present and expressed admiration for all that the BFT is doing to develop taekwondo in the world.
On the first day of the National Championship, men and women take part in the competition. The battles were more than contested, and the spectators in the volleyball hall of Levski witnessed spectacular battles. Kaloyan Binev and Alexander George became suitable in the most interesting categories for men up to 63 kg and 68 kg. At 63 kg Kaloyan Binev (TC Sung-Ri) finished the final with 26:22 against Bozhidar Avramov (TC Ramus). In third place were Hristo Bogdanov and Lyubomir Bogdanov, both from TC Centaur. Up to 68 kg. Alexander Djordjev won the battle for gold against Stefan Stamenov from TC Sung-Ri, and the bronze medals went to Antonio Mihailov from TC Centaur and Mitko Djordjev from TC Gladiator.
