Orbán: we are Hungarians whose common passion is Hungary

Sugar Mizzy February 12, 2022

We who have gathered here today are different people, but we have one thing in common: we are Hungarians with a common passion for Hungary, said Viktor Orbán in the annual evaluation of a prime minister on Saturday in Budapest.

The head of government, the president of Fidesz, emphasized: what the left is doing could be a new political strategy. “To insult people to blood, to make fun of people with disabilities, to walk into the countryside, to threaten retirees and to look down on women. They have not spoken to the Hungarians in this way since time immemorial. One does not believe his ears, ”he said.

He believed that if it was a strategy, it would be a world patent. “But Gaulle may be right, everyone can talk, but the leader also knows when to listen,” he said. He added: “It’s embarrassing, not a little, very much.” Viktor Orbán said: the left, although as it is, “is in the nation like misfortune in the National Anthem”.

Ferenc Gyurcsány and Gordon Bajnai are not bothered by what is happening on the left, after all, they brought this whole show around the country, ”he indicated.

The president of Fidesz explained that due to the left, Gyula Horn was spinning in his grave, Medgyessy could not look away, the SZDSZs were staring at the toe of their shoes in confusion. He sees only it doesn’t bother Gyurcsany and Bajnai, after all, “they brought this whole show around the country” so that it doesn’t show: indeed, they are preparing to return.

Not only the virus but also the left has attacked Hungary, we expect that they can overthrow the government – said Viktor Orbán.

When they had to close, they demanded to open, when they had to open, they demanded to close. They dictated a dictatorship, organized expulsion campaigns abroad, distributed camouflage videos, mock and horror news, he said. Viktor Orbán called this a serious irresponsibility, adding that at the time of a deadly pandemic, millions of families were afraid to use government defenses to defend themselves in an unprotected act.

“The time will come for both of them, one on April 3 and the other according to the order of the Good God,” he remarked. He stated that the government remained united and calm even during the coronavirus epidemic, that the country’s ability to act was not in jeopardy for a moment, ie the new constitutional order system introduced in 2011 was well tested.

Families did not have to pull in black during the epidemic either, the Prime Minister considers this to be the greatest achievement of the Hungarian economy during the crisis.

As he taxed: he started exempting those under the age of 25, families can get their tax refund and 13-month pensions have arrived in a matter of days. The latter is not only an economic weapon, but a real reparation, he said. “We are giving back what the Gyurcsány-Bajnai government has taken away,” he added.

He also says the minimum wage has increased from 20 in 202 and taxes on labor will be reduced to 4. “We brought under the roof the great national agreement that included the unions, the employers, the government and the parliament that sanctified the agreement. Except, of course, the left, which did not vote for anything, ”the prime minister recalled.

The petrol stop will be extended for another three months.

Despite the virus epidemic, so many people have never worked in Hungary since the change of regime, more than a million more people are working than during the Gyurcsány government, he said.

He recalled that the government had been building a new Hungarian economy since 2010, deciding to give people jobs instead of aid. He also drew attention to the fact that another brutal record was broken last year, Hungary’s export performance will increase to 119 billion euros. plans In 2010, the government also decided to translate key sectors, pushing foreign ownership below 50 per cent in the banking system, the media and the energy sector. He added that they started at 60 per cent in banks, 66 per cent in the media and 71 per cent in the energy sector, but now Hungarian ownership has become the majority everywhere.

The left has not voted on any of the laws that held crisis management during the coronavirus epidemic, he recalled. He said the left had not voted in favor of the law underpinning protection against the coronavirus, a credit moratorium, a minimum wage increase, a family tax rebate, a tax exemption under the age of 25 and tax cuts.

He also recalled that the Gyurcsány-Bajnai government had taken the opposite path to the current government during the crisis, “they went backwards.” They took away their 13th month pension, one month’s salary, a year’s pay, abolished the home-building program and family tax breaks, and made health care payable. They doubled the price of electricity and tripled the price of gas.

The parliamentary election in April is about Ferenc Gyurcsány and Gordon Bajnai wanting to return – it’s a mistake.

The head of government added: on Friday, Ferenc Gyurcsány must return to be ready for the right place. “And if Ferenc Gyurcsány returns, he will take us back to where we have already been and where not a single cartilage wants,” said Viktor Orbán.

War in the Russia-Ukraine conflict must be avoided, he noted. According to Viktor Orbán, the war should be avoided not only for the sake of humanity, but also for the sake of Hungary, as hundreds of thousands of refugees arrive in Hungary from Ukraine in the order of war, and this would fundamentally redraw Hungary’s political and economic situation.

He said that Hungary was working for peace, but the designated state bodies had begun preparations. “Even in the event of a war, we have an appropriate scenario and action plan,” he said.
