Finland

Finland became one of the favorites in Beijing. In the last two World Championships, they won gold and silver. Now they brought many players from this team to achieve the desired title. The tournament’s debut makes it clear that Jukka Jalonen’s followers have every chance of succeeding. In the first game, Finland won Slovakia 6: 2. The meeting against Latvia was much more challenging for the Finns, but they showed their ability to squeeze their opponents, scoring two decisive goals before the end – 3: 1. After two rounds, Finland leads the C-block.

Swedish

The Swedish team is another traditional favorite in major hockey tournaments. They have a very curious line-up for the Beijing Olympics, and they reject a number of skilled players and choose bigger and stronger performers who can work in defense. So far, things looked pretty good for Tre Kronor. First, Johan Garpenlov’s strikes beat Latvia hard – 3: 2. The match against Slovakia was much easier, as at the end of the first round the Swedes already won – 3: 0 and finally succeeded – 4: 1. Currently, the yellow-blue took a temporary second place in Group C rankings.

Expert betting tips

Finland and Sweden share the top of the C-block. Finns make a much more pleasant impression. The Finnish coaching team brought with them a very experienced, stable and talented team, but there are serious issues with Tre Kronor’s line-up. Although the Swedes have won their last four Euro Hockey Tour matches, the Blue and White are more convincing in Beijing. Betting on the victory of the Finnish national team seems possible.

According to the rules of the Olympic hockey tournament, all teams survive the playoffs, so we don’t see many matches in the group stage where something meaningful is decided. The upcoming game is one such example. The winner of this match will secure entry to the semi-finals. For this reason, the price of points is exceptionally high. Players pay a lot of attention to defense, so the best option for the forecast is less than 4.5 in total.

In the match against Latvia, Markus Granlund did not appear on the ice, which destroyed the first row of the Finnish team. It is not certain that Salawat Yulayevs will recover, so we will pay special attention to Finland’s second offensive combination, in which Miro Aaltonen plays. The Vityaz player has been incredibly efficient this season, scoring 42 points (10 goals + 32 assists) in 44 KHL matches. He has already scored two goals in Beijing and scored in two games, confirming his excellent form. It is worth watching Miro Aaltonen’s bet on the total amount over 0.5.
