Two weeks before the Grand Final of ‘MasterChef Portugal’, the aspirants faced new tests in the competition, and this time, the guaranteed place in the semifinal was at stake.

The challenge on this week’s ‘MasterChef Portugal’ program started with very different Mystery Boxes than usual. Each aspirant had two boxes in front of him: one that hid a prepared dish and a smaller one with various ingredients.

The aspirants tasted the dish, which combines the five flavors for a successful confection: sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami. The second box contained an incredible selection of products, chosen by the three judges. The goal was to prepare a dish that allowed a journey through five flavors. Fernanda The perfection of the objective of the test was achieved and he was the author of the best dish!

In the next, the aspirants went to the Algarve and, before cooking: they had a big surprise one afternoon with a visit to the market in Olhão and Ilha Deserta, also guided by Mestre Alves, who taught them everything about fish.

But the next day… it was test day, this time in pairs. Fernanda He liked John, Tania He liked David and Mafalda and Teresa formed the third pair. The challenge was to pay tribute to regional products and to very special chefs: fishermen and three renowned chefs from the region, the Hans Neuner cooks, Noélia Jerónimo and Rui Silvestre. The three courses snatched all the guests, but the creation of Tania and David was the most consensual, winning almost all the votes.

Last week’s challenge ended with a revelation, which completely changed the course of the competition: Johnfor family reasons, he was forced to abandon the competition.

Concession proof were just Fernanda, Teresa and Mafalda. Each received a cart with three drawers, with a selection of ingredients. If they opened a drawer, I couldn’t go back to… having to use all the products! Teresa presented the best dish, Fernanda and Mafalda was in danger, but it was Fernanda the author of the dish less well. However, with the withdrawal of John, no one would leave the competition. But it has already been defined that Fernanda will be one of the competitors who will be in the next week’s test of MasterChef Portugal.

They were found as well as the semifinalists of the biggest cooking competition in the world. In the penultimate episode of MasterChef Portugal many surprises, new challenges and strong emotions are expected.
