Route, weather and times X2O Trophy Brussels 2022
Last year we drove in the freezing cold and snow, that will be different on Sunday. Anyway, it can be a technical cross, on a beautiful course. From the start it is still flat turning and turning between the gates, without too big obstacles, until after a short descent we drive onto a piece of asphalt. From there it is at full speed up a hill, down you come to a sloping side with a bend to the left. almost from the system has to be cycled again, many will have to get off the bike. If you can pull it through here, you’ve got a hole.
After this cunning bend, the riders and riders arrive at the next slope, which you better start high, so as not to end up in the canvas all the way down. Then it’s uphill, downhill and past the switch post again a bit of turning and on some framing hills, where you have to turn 180 degrees three times. It remains technical after this, with another explosive slope and an explosive hill with bends the men and twice a kind of sand stairs up and down. After this it is full speed to the finish, and then a few times.

Again
A strong wind from it remains, but it will remain dry until at least last week. With a wind chill of about five degrees and maybe a very mild sun, the men can’t complain in Brussels.

Favorite men X2O Trophy Brussels 2022
The last classification cross, the well-known men even want to pull out all the stops for that. we can look forward to strong Belgians like Toon Aerts, Eli Iserbyt, Michael Vanthourenhout and Laurens Sweeck† From a technical point of view, someone like Aerts can lose his egg here, but more explosive men such as Iserbyt also have an advantage. So it can go either way!
Namur Netherlands is Lars van der Haar the big name. Aerts’ teammate is not afraid to give everything one more time. He is explosive and in shape, so he can offer the Belgians a match. All men can go wild anyway, as Aerts has almost completed the classification in the X2O Trophy.
Favorite women X2O Trophy Brussels 2022
Also for the women the ranking is not really interesting anymore. Lucinda Brand has a big op Denise Betsema and so it will mainly be about the victory of the day. Brand is – despite the fact that they produce a world title – the glutton in the cross and do not want to end with a peak. Betsema, in turn, will want the season not to go out like a candle. In Lille she was ridden in just over two minutes, she will not want that again.
Annemarie Worst Seems to be the Dutch who is in best shape after Brand at the moment. She came second in Lille, although she couldn’t predict Brand. The proportions can be different on a slightly more technical course. that is also the case for Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, which has so far won all editions in Brussels, but has not reached peak form all season. Does she throw all efforts into Brussels?
Outsiders for a good ranking? Sanne Cant has been around anonymously for a while, can she still do something? Manon Bakker was in Lille with a fourth place on the appointment. We also want Zoe Backstedt (17 years!) discuss. The British is in a class of its own in the juniors and will want to measure itself with the elite.
