The new Archbishop of Toulouse plays rugby in the middle of his installation ceremony
What better than a little rugby to get you in the mood when you arrive in Occitania? Mgr Guy de Kerimel, who now took up his duties as Archbishop of Toulouse this Sunday, bowed to tradition.
He just arrived from Grenoble: Guy de Kerimel, 68, is now Archbishop of Toulouse. He was installed on Sunday afternoon during a mass at Saint-Étienne Cathedral in Toulouse, replacing Bishop Le Gall, who has retired.
When France Bleu Occitanie met him, just before his installation ceremony, Guy de Kerimel described himself as an avid reader, nature and walking. But the new archbishop may discover a new center of interest: rugby.
A rugby ball was given to him by the vicar general of the diocese of Toulouse during his installation ceremony. And the Archbishop made a long pass to another longer installed religious. The video was broadcast by the KTO channel on social networks.
