Everyone wants a bit of the “Land of Happiness” star: –
“Land of Happiness” is back on the TV screen after a formidable first song. The NRK series with a budget of 96 million kroner collected prizes at the international TV festival in Cannes, and on Gullruten in 2019 won the prize for both best drama series and best actor.
The last premiere was the Stavanger girl Anne Regine Ellingsæter (26) who could raise her head – to great applause.
– The golden route is taken care of at my parents’ home – until it gets a throne to stand on! beams Anne Regine above See and Hear.
She suddenly became public property as a 23-year-old, after impressing in the lead role as Anna Hellevik, a young girl from a poor farming family who was then engaged to North Sea diver and millionaire son Christian Nyman, and secretary of Stavanger’s great oil politician Arne Rettedal.
Strong morale
In Season 2, we meet an even more ambitious Anna, who has a degree in economics and presents herself with the American oil boss Jonathan Kay, played by Bart Edwards.
Reveals canapé tricks from behind the scenes
– She has gone from local politics to national politics, is more active and knowledgeable, but she wants to show off and with that find her place in working life. She still has strong morals and faith in democracy and society, Anne Regine explains.
At the start of season 2, Anna struggled to get a job, even though she put in heroic efforts for the male-dominated Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
This is how the “Lykkeland” star is completely private
In fact, Anne Regine is a much sought after young lady. She has simply had to give permission from the theater school studies!
– Yes, it is not possible to combine so much work with school. There will be too much absence. Now I am on leave and between acting jobs, the Stavanger star says secretly.
From Spain to Copenhagen
Anne Regine has been used to being on the move a lot. After high school, she went with the cultural academy at Buskerud and Vestfold University College to Barcelona and was there for a semester.
After that went to Copenhagen and an academy for dance and performing arts. This was what she was busy with when the opportunity in «Lykkeland» immediately appeared in the autumn of 2016.
Fate wanted her to audition in Stavanger. Anne Regine had been in her hometown for 50 years and filled up the apartment for her parents when a friend sent a text message that she had to audition. She reached it by a quarter of an hour.
The following year, she was ready for the biggest adventure of her life so far – which we can see the second part of these days.
– How did you experience the success?
– I experienced it as well-deserved and fun, but also scary because I did not know how to handle it and how to stake out the way forward, Anne Regine admits.
Much more text
The success and work with the series also opened up for greater interest and curiosity for the subject, the “Lykkeland” star points out.
While in season 1 she could take on the role of the quieter and more observant secretary, in season 2 she is like a whirlwind when it comes to both words and calculations.
Anne Regine makes no secret of the moment there is a great deal of text and content to learn.
– I get very little stopped on the street
– It has been very tough. There was a lot of text that is complicated and that contains finances and expense. Privately, I’m not strong at it, so I just had to get the help I needed, from screenwriter and director. I used an app to learn the lines. I was a little scared if I was going to make it, but now I have reinforced the most difficult thing I could, Anne Regine admitted lastly when she recently visited P3morgen studio.
The action in the eight new “Land of Happiness” episodes covers the years from 1977 to 1980. Five years have passed when we meet the four young main characters again. They are still in the middle of the events and the opportunity that the new time brings to Stavanger.
Anne Regine herself has a clear idea of why the series captures the people.
Follows in his mother’s footsteps
– It is an important story that belongs to us. It helps to explain where we come from and what has built us up to where we are today. And everyone likes good character drama, I think! points out Anne Regine – happy for good response and “Lykkeland” intoxication across the country – once again.
– It is very nice if the whole of Norway shares the intoxication with me and the rest of the production, yes!
