VILLENEUVE-LÈS-AVIGNON Laboratories resume at Chartreuse
The first public meeting of 2022 at the Chartreuse de Villeneuve will be held this Thursday, January 27 at 6 p.m. with a session of the Laboratories.
The principle is simple, since it involves readings and/or presentations of current projects by the resident companies of the national center for performance writing. This Thursday, two projects will be presented to the public.
The first is signed by the company Pop Manuscrit, which presents it as follows: “Three actors (including a director) on a set discuss in a kind of construction site-laboratory the idea of not putting on a show, in the simplest and most radical non-fiction… Along the way, and discoursing , they slip little by little and in spite of themselves into another spectacle: that of biased social relations, the virtualization of exchanges, or even the project society… a frenzy sets in. So they keep fulfilling, again and again, their feeling of not being. A comedy of morals with troubled and unstable borders, halfway between theater and performance. »
The second is the work of Collectif Impatience. Within this collective, Perrine Mornay and Olivier Boréel place research and the relationship with the individual/spectator at the center of their creations. “Faced with the instability of the world, we have chosen an exploratory approach. We invent forms that shift the gaze, that shift the way of receiving a show and becoming a spectator. Our research is nourished by protocols that invite confrontation, entanglement and hybridization. The intersection with the visual arts is obvious. The device and the creative process interest us as much as the final format.they present.
Free admission but reservation recommended on the Chartreuse website. Vaccination pass required for anyone over 16 years old.
