Florence: is the Ferris wheel back?
Identify an area in the city of Florence such as the Garden of the Fortezza da Basso or another with similar characteristics, where a Ferris wheel can be placed in a lasting way, inserting itself as an element of the city architecture, or in any case for a suitable period to meet the demand of citizens and visitors.
This is the commitment that asks the council for a Pd initiative motion approved yesterday by the Culture and Sport Commission, and by the Economic Development Commission promoted by the councilors Fabio Giorgetti, Nicola Armentano, Enrico Conti, Alessandra Innocenti, Maria Federica Giuliani, Barbara Felleca, Donata Bianchi, Renzo Pampaloni, Francesca Calì, Massimiliano Piccioli, Francesco Pastorelli, Luca Santarelli.

“An initiative that certainly deserves to be replicated in the future but for which, either for the profuse objective, either for the assembly operations and initiative, or for investment, to evaluate the impact on the places and, everything, on reality city, it is appropriate and necessary, an in-depth examination that leads to identify an area, with characteristics similar to those of the garden of the Fortress where the structure can find a location, if not permanent, at least of significant duration “, explain group leader Pd Nicola Armentano and the councilors Fabio Giorgetti and Enrico Conti, chairs respectively of the 5 Culture and Sport commission and of the 2 Economic Development commission.
“Taking into account that the wheel has met with considerable success and appreciation by citizens and visitors who have been able to enjoy a meeting place and admire the city from a suggestive and fascinating perspective, an experience, in short, that we want to enhance and carry on – they continue – We register in this passage in commission the favorable vote only of the Democratic Party, we hope that from now on to the vote in the City Council there can also be convergence from other groups that were expressly in favor of this experience “.
