Advice on vaccinations
People from the age of 5 who are resident in Germany or have voluntary or statutory health insurance in Germany can be vaccinated. Those between the ages of 5 and 15 who wish to be vaccinated should be accompanied by a legal guardian.
For a corona vaccination in one of the vaccination branches on Theresienwiese, at Marienplatz and in the Pasing Arcaden, Bay-IMCO (www.vaccination-centres.bavaria) an appointment can be made, vaccinations without an appointment will also be offered from next Monday (31.1.). At the Children and Youth Vaccination Center in Gasteig, children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17 can register under http://www.vaccination-centres.bavaria and make an appointment at http://www.wir-impfen-muenchen.de receive a corona vaccination. It is not possible to make an appointment for the mobile special vaccination campaigns; Prior registration in Bay-IMCO is still desirable in order to extend the process on site, but is not a mandatory requirement.
You must bring a valid identification document with you for the vaccination (identity card or passport) and, if available, the yellow vaccination card. Two cycles are carried out from 3 weeks (BioNTech) or 4 weeks (Moderna and Johnson & Johnson) after the initial vaccination. Corona booster vaccinations are given to people aged 12 and over three months after their second vaccination. Those aged 12 and over who have recovered can be vaccinated as early as three months after infection to complete their primary immunization and receive the booster vaccination three months later.
Proof of previous vaccinations (yellow vaccination card or vaccination certificate with QR code) is required for second and booster vaccinations. The vaccination certificate with the QR code speeds up the registration process considerably. Please bring this with you if possible.
