Toulouse: after his escape from psychiatric emergencies, a “very dangerous” man was found
New leak in Toulouse. This Thursday, a 32-year-old individual considered very dangerous fled the psychiatric emergency room of the Purpan University Hospital Center, in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne. He was arrested later in the afternoon, without violence, in the center of the city, report The Dispatch.
According to our information, this patient was declared irresponsible in 2019 following a triple assassination attempt. He had to hit four people in a car on a protected passage in Blagnac, in 2017.
This disappearance was the third in the sector in a week. On January 23, a 48-year-old man prosecuted in 2010 in a case of attempted murder and deemed criminally irresponsible had fled during an exit permit granted by the Gérard-Marchant hospital. He was brought back to the center.
acts of cannibalism
On January 19, Jérémy Rimbaud also took advantage of a leave to violently assault a person in the city center of Toulouse before being arrested by the Bac. The former soldier also suffers from a mental illness. After acts of cannibalism on a nonagenarian in 2013, he was notably schizophrenic.
Following these two cases, the general management of the ARS announces that it is carrying out “an on-site inspection mission to ensure the compliance of the care of these patients”. Persons deemed irresponsible for their actions cannot be prosecuted for escape. Their permissions work only from the medical plan.
