This is yet to happen on the transfer market in the Netherlands
11:00 a.m. – The last transfer week has started. Dutch clubs still have a few days to complete the final reinforcements. Almost everywhere there is still something to happen, although there are also a few clubs that hope that it will remain calm and thus can keep their star players. FCUpdate.nl lists the inbound and outbound transfers that may be on the roll. In part I: the bottom four clubs.
18. PEC Zwolle
After two victories in a row, the belief in enforcement is in any case fully back at PEC Zwolle, which has brought in Maikel van der Werff, Max de Waal and Oussama Darfalou so far. Mark Pabai left for Italy, Leandro Fernandes is also allowed to move in this window on a free transfer. That does not apply to Yuta Nakama, who has an expiring contract in Overijssel, but is not allowed to due to injuries in the back. The fact that the infirmary has become empty again provides additional options for trainer Dick Schreuder. Although an opportunity on the transfer market is never superfluous, given the fight against relegation.
17. Fortuna Sittard
In Limburg, men had big plans in this transfer window, among others Mohamed Ihattaren (Juventus) and Johan Bakayoko (Young PSV) were on the lists of trainer Sjors Ultee. For now, however, only Andreas Samaris and Michael Verrips came to Sittard. In any case, they want to do everything they can to keep the selection complete, resulting in a million-dollar bid for Zian Flamming and an offer for Mats Seuntjens has been accepted. And what’s next? Jordan Botaka Gent) may be hired, but it will not last there, another attacker and central defender will be added. Bassala Sambou (on his way to Crewe Alexandra) and Emil Hansson are still allowed to leave in the final days of the transfer market.
16. Sparta Rotterdam
One of the clubs where the most happened so far is Sparta Rotterdam. Just like in the season in which it eventually relegated, there was a decent quality injection this winter with Younes Namli, Arno Verschueren and Adrián Dalmau, temporary selection on behalf of Mo Osman (free transfer) and Kenzo Goudmijn (was hired) remained intact. Bryan Smeets and Michaël Heylen (both have been hit on the bench) may leave in the last few days, there is also talk of an extra reinforcement. Quasim Bouy and Peer Koopmeiners have been reviewed, but that is not really concrete.
15. William II
Eleven official games in a row Fred Grim battles with his team and partly because of this, Jizz Hornkamp (FC Den Bosch) and Kilian Ludewig (RB Salzburg) have already been won. Opposite this was the departure of John Yeboah (leased to MSV Duisburg) and Kwasi Wriedt (Holstein Kiel). However, more needs to be done than that: Melle Meulensteen (RKC Waalwijk), Rick van Drongelen (Hamburger SV, rental deal), Federico Girotti (River Plate, rental deal) and Victor Jensen (Ajax, rental deal) were linked to the Tilburg players, who also bring in a winger. There seems to be a lot of preliminary work to be done in the final days: is it enough to break the negative streak?
