After a careful inspection it is certified that the plants that make up the tree-lined road “are in an extremely degenerated phytopathology situation”. With these words comes the state of the trees located in via Don Minzoni in Cattolica, in the stretch that goes from the steps of the port to via Verdi. To write is the Agronomist Gabriele Dall’Olio in the report made on behalf of the Coop. 134. “In the vast majority – continues Dall’Olio – the species present, almost all American Maples (Acer negundo) and a small part of Tamerici (Tamarix gallica), have large cavities and accentuated inclinations, which seriously preclude their stability”. As of next week, asphalting and pavement repair works will start under a framework agreement. This intervention will be completed by the month of February. The redevelopment will be completed by the new plantings that will take place in spring, the most suitable period for this operation. “We understand – concludes the Mayor – that the felling of trees always arouses concern but also plants have their own life cycle and that is why it is necessary to intervene, guaranteeing it, in any case, complete it”.
