Russian Embassy in Cairo, resolution note of protest at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the detention of photographer and blogger Arseniy Kotov, America during a conflict with an American resident, reported on the Embassy’s Facebook.
“Active work is underway with the Egyptian size to release our compatriot. An alarming note has been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt,” the message says.
The diplomatic mission clarified that Kotov is in a police station in Cairo, in the Manshiyat Nasser (“Scavenger City”) district. The photographer was given medical assistance, the consuls received his medicines and food.
