Florence, robbery of a motorist at the exit from the parking lot: arrested 29 years old
Yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 26 January, near the underground car park of the Fortezza da Basso, the State Police has stopped a 29-year-old Nigerian citizen on charges of improper robbery.
When at 16.00 around a steering wheel of the Florence Police Headquarters she intervened at the exit of the parking lot, she found herself in front of a turmoil between the robber and the victim, an Italian tourist visiting the Tuscan capital with his family.
The policemen blocked the attacker and reconstructed the story together with some testimonies and the robbed tourist. According to what emerged, as reported by a note from the Police Headquarters, the latter was leaving the parking lot with the finer to endorse the ticket at the bar, when apparently open the other, who a few moments before was begging, would have leaned into the cockpit, head and arms, energetically grabbing a cell phone.
The man, with the smartphone in his hand, would then have fled towards the exit, chased by the driver who was yanked several times by the fugitive. During the arrest, the police then recovered the stolen phone which was returned to the owner.
