Orelsan will give the first concert of his new tour in Caen (Calvados). After a report announced because of the fifth wave of Covid-19, the first date of “Civilization” remains in the beloved city of the rapper, reports France 3 Normandy.
The Caen concert, which was to take place on January 15, had indeed been moved to April 28. A distant date and much less symbolic since arriving after several other concerts, elsewhere in France. But the rapper has gone above and beyond, and will open his tour at the Zénith de Caen on February 22.

“We were overjoyed”
Orelsan has “done everything” for this, according to the concert hall. “He is very keen to start his tours in Caen”, explained Sylvie Duchesne, director of the Zénith, to France 3. “It’s a question of territory, it brings him luck for the rest of his tour. »
The rapper is used to performing in Caen before any other place in France. It was in this city that he made his debut, shot many music videos and his film How far is it. The Caennais produce it well: the places for the concert of February 22 were sold in barely ten minutes, Tuesday.
“It was not so complicated to find a new date because we had many reports in February”, explains Sylvie Duchesne. “Orelsan and its production did everything to make it possible, we were in contact with them on a daily basis. Reporting is hellish for us, […] but when it ended with a premiere of Orelsan at the Zenith, of course, we were overjoyed. »
