Criticism of guidelines for state development
business
105 comments were received on the draft of the state development program. With these guidelines, the future government will, among other things, limit the consumption of land. However, the program has caused criticism – especially from the Nature Conservation Union.
The statement by the nature conservation association covers seven pages – the draft for the state development program is too superficial. There are no concrete guidelines for securing domestic mineral resources, no compensatory measures are listed for the forced wind energy in the state, and there is still no general overview of the habitats in the state that are worth protecting.
Do not “fray” new guidelines
The opposition also criticizes the draft of the state development program. The competent provincial councilor Josef Schwaiger (ÖVP) expects many statements. However, the state development plan is not a nature conservation plan for the entire state. “In discussions with the communities, we have determined how the state planning instruments will be used in the communities.” Schwaiger added that the middle path would be taken as a guide, but the new guidelines would not fray.
Completion before June
All submitted papers are now being viewed, checked and, if necessary, incorporated, said Schwaiger. This process should be completed in the first half of the year.
