Councilor Hasler tested positive for Corona – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – Government Councilor Dominique Hasler has tested positive for the corona virus. The government announced on Wednesday.
Accordingly, Hasler has been infected with the omicron variant of the corona virus, as the message says.
The government councilor has been vaccinated three times since the beginning of December 2021. “She is in isolation, has mild symptoms and is continuing her official business from home,” the statement said.

Dominique Hasler is the first member of the government to be infected with the corona virus. However, politicians have also often been infected in Liechtenstein. During the second wave of the pandemic in autumn 2020, for example, the Maurer community leader Freddy Kaiser or the then FBP President Marcus Vogt made their infection public.
There were other cases in municipal councils as well as among members of the state parliament. However, these were not publicly communicated.
As of Tuesday evening, 7,810 residents of Liechtenstein have already had a work-confirmed corona infection and are therefore considered to have recovered.
