Accelerated consolidation among wealth managers
A Ticino asset manager goes under the roof of a competitor from German-speaking Switzerland. Together they will work on around 40 people and manage more than 3.5 billion Swiss francs.
The Zug investment boutique Woodman Wealth Management and the Ticino asset manager Pentagram Wealth Management combine their expertise under one roof, as the two companies announced on Wednesday. Pentagram is integrated into the Woodman company.
The alliance is the result of intensive cooperation between the two companies over the past few years, as was further learned. With a team of 40, the “new” company Woodman is expected to manage more than CHF 3.5 billion in client assets. The company will build an industry-leading wealth management platform across Switzerland’s three main financial hubs, Zurich/Zug, Geneva and Lugano.
In three financial centers
“This acquisition is a milestone for our company and for the independent wealth management industry in Switzerland. The transaction offers further value and growth potential due to the larger volume. In the future, Woodman will be one of the few independent asset managers in the three largest financial centers in Switzerland PatrickFerrari, CEO of Woodman Asset Management.
Woodman is an independent investment boutique providing wealth management services and access to core, niche and sustainable investment strategies for high net worth individuals and family offices. The company was founded in 2010 as a family office in Zug and is under the supervision of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma).
Unique opportunity in a competitive environment
Founded in 2005, Pentagram Wealth Management is headquartered in Lugano with an office in Geneva. The company offers wealth management and investment advisory services to private, professional and institutional clients.
“The integration of Pentagram Wealth Management into the Woodman group offers a unique opportunity for continued growth in a competitive environment,” he said Alessandro Sonvico, CEO and Partner of Pentagram Wealth Management.
