Zajíčková (ODS): Prague 5 invites you to the Czech-Baltic Century exhibition
The cooperation of the former Czechoslovakia and later the Czech Republic with the trio of Baltic states Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia is illustrated by an exhibition that will be on display in the square on 16 October.
“In December 1921, Czechoslovakia recognized the independence of the three Baltic countries, and diplomatic relations soon followed. The exhibition maps a hundred years of mutual cooperation and often a similar fate, which we shared with Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, “says Prague 5 councilor for foreign relations David Dušek, who took over the auspices of the exhibition together with mayor Renata Zajíčková.
The exhibition recalls fundamental milestones and stories of mutual cooperation, which are much closer to each other than we can possibly provide.
“It is especially important today to show what unites us within Europe. We live in a world that has long been confrontational and still divided, but the reality is different. I believe that this is what the Czech-Baltic Century exhibition shows, and that many people will be pleasantly surprised, ”adds Mayor Renáta Zajíčková.
