Sporting, in men’s, will face Caldas if they win the round of the “eighths”.
Sporting, current holders of the Men’s Volleyball Portuguese Cup, will play in Caldas da Rainha in the quarter-finals of the competition, if they pass the round of ‘eighths’, which still have to be played.
The draw, held in Lisbon, also dictated that Benfica, national, go to Esmoriz, that is, if they overcome Leixões in the round of 16, which are also to be played.
As for Fonte do Bastardo, current leader of the League, will travel to Sport de Espinho’s grounds, while Vitória de Guimarães will face the winner of the duel between Santo Tirso and São Mamede.
The scheduled date for elimination is February 20, with the exception of the game between Esmoriz and Benfica or Leixões, which will be the 27th option of the teams.
The three games of the ‘eighth’ that were not played scheduled for the last weekend but ended up being postponed due to outbreaks of Covid-19 in several teams. Santo Tirso-São Mamede is played on February 9 and Benfica-Leixões on February 20.
