SLOVAKIA

Slovakia is considering! The video SHOCK already has more than 900,000 views

Sugar Mizzy January 24, 2022

Actor Juraj ŠOKO Tabaček also points to other options for reducing waste from disposable plastic bottles than backup.

We know him as a moderator, entertainer and actor, and most recently he also gives us advice on how Slovakia can be cleaner even without dragging PET bottles from the store and back to the vending machine.Juraj Šoko Tabaček became the ambassador of the initiative Slovakia is considering his video “How to help Slovak nature?“Achieved more than 900,000 views in a few days.

So far, you have not cooperated significantly with such an initiative or brand. Why has Slovakia changed?
I do not rush into cooperation. If I agree with one, I have to make sense to me from A to Z, I have to add value. When the representatives of SodaStream Slovakia informed me that there was an alternative to backup, which is even more beneficial for nature, I was decided immediately. I really appreciate nature – nature does not deceive, it shows us how we behave and we give us the opportunity to meet ourselves.

What specifically convinced you?

I have been using SodaStream for more than a year, I have it at home, at the cottage, I bought it for children and I have it when I realized that because of my favorite favorite water I have to need a quite demanding process: go to the store, buy them five houses, lay, then separate. At that time, the backup had not yet been discussed; Today, the storage of PET bottles and cans and their carrying into this machine must also be added to the activities. So SodaStream came to me as a logical simplification of the whole process – all you have to do is tap water at home, add bubbles and I have the same thing as from the store. However, in addition to saving money and time, it is mainly about eliminating waste from disposable plastics from purchased carbonated water. So when the offer of cooperation came, I knew what I was getting into.

The Slovakia contemplating campaign is going in a provocative way. He joins the campaign Slovakia backs up, but at the same time says it is better not to use PET bottles. So how is it? Back up or not use?

But we do not encourage people to “either – or”. just to start thinking about the amount of waste that can be reduced to a minimum almost immediately without loss of comfort. We want them to start thinkingabove the whole chain , before the plastic bottle is produced, filled, transported to the store, from the store for recycling, then back to the naacia store, from there to the recycling center, from there to the processors and finally back to the beverage producers. Every step consumes valuable resources, not excluding water, and creates a carbon footprint and waste. Replace disposable plastic bottles with carbonated water for SodaStream is a quick and easy way for us to significantly reduce our waste.

However, we also use plastic bottles for SodaStream.

Yes, but these devices are designed to vary from one-time to 3-year use. For example, if you drink only one PET bottle of carbonated water from the store a day, you will replace more than a thousand with a single SodaStream bottle. In addition, you can choose for yourself whether you will have some of the appliances at home with a plastic bottle or Crystal with a glass.

The goal of the campaign Slovakia considers is not to facilitate backups?

Vice versa. Backing up plastic bottles solves the problem of existing waste and is clearly one of the best solutions to reduce the volume of unwanted plastics in nature. The main point of the campaign Slovakia is considering is motivating people to reduce waste to a minimum and one of the first steps is to completely stop punching plastic bottles. If there is still a reason to use disposable PET bottles with such saturated water, there is nothing better than backup. However, the best solution is still not to create waste in the form of disposable plastics.

Slovakia backs represent four familiar faces. Do you think that you can shock Slovaks out of eco-lethargy yourself?

I think it all starts with individuals who decide to change something. Good things spread quickly and therefore if the campaignSlovakia is considering will affect 20-30 people at the beginning and each of them someone around them, at the end of the day these are really high numbers and in this way we can lighten the Earth by a significant number of disposable PET bottles. I don’t have big ambitions, but I hope that plus or minus 5 people will change their minds (laughs).
