TOULOUSE

Toulouse. What do you think of Toulouse’s Ramblas?

Sugar Mizzy January 23, 2022

“I don’t think much about it. I don’t come often in fact. It’s true that today I came here for lunch but otherwise I never go.

I think it’s the first time I’ve come, or even passed since it was integrated.

They lack a bit of life I find…there’s not too much animation. I feel like people are just passing through. Maybe if there were shops or more small businesses, there would be a little more life.”

“I go there regularly afterwards, it’s pretty, it’s pleasant as it’s in the sun. After that, since I work nearby, I just pass by and I don’t stop there.

It’s still very practical when the weather is nice to eat a sandwich in the sun.

There have been quite a few changes. It’s more pleasant. Now there is less traffic and there is more parking for cars. The terraces of the cafes have more space as a result. It’s more fun.”

“I find this alley pretty. It’s great because from time to time at night they put little lights on and I find it pretty.

I go there a bit, for example, to go to the metro, but it’s true that I don’t go through that side of town too much.

But I find it stylish what they did with the vegetation and everything.

I sometimes stop for five minutes and sit on a bench, but I don’t go there often. It is by coincidence that I pass there.-remarks collected by Mahault Meunissier

“It’s our third time on the ramblas. We’re quite happy to be there and we hope to have a little more traffic in the long term. We approached companies a lot to get more visibility, because we find that it lacked animation. People analyze the sun and suddenly they sometimes go to one side of a street rather than going through the central lane. I think it deserves a little more animation and that it should invite Toulouse people to really go through this artery which was made for that anyway.”

“It’s pretty good my faith. I like how it was done. The alley allows pedestrians to travel from Place Wilson. I think it’s good, well I’m not really from the neighborhood but I like go.

I think the people who live here don’t want too much traffic. But there is still the Christmas tree that is put there. This noon querlques “tacos” have settled. It’s true that I haven’t seen any markets set up there, but it could be an opportunity.”

And you, what do you think of the ramblas?
