PSP did not control traffic in the CDU parade in Lisbon
Communist leader João Oliveira asked the Lisbon City Council to explain why the PSP did not stop traffic during the CDU parade between Avenida Almirante Reis and Largo da Graça, which took place this Sunday.
Asked by journalists about the reason why the police did not control the traffic during the parade that cut the city’s arteries for several minutes, João Oliveira told the Lisbon Chamber the answer to that question.
“This clarification will, of course, have to be obtained between the City Council and PSP. “, maintained the member of the Political Commission of the Central Committee of the PCP, in the middle of the parade.
The communist leader explained that the necessary information was transferred to “guarantee that it took place with all the common rules and in the best way, it was foreseen, and as the rest is happening”.
The parade started shortly after 2:30 pm. Several proposals from Youth CDU supporters left Largo da Graça, where they go to Largo da Graça on Sunday, as part of the campaign for the laws of 30 January.
The action completely cut off one of the directions of Avenida Almirante Reis (Intendente-Saldanha), but elements of the party cut off traffic, since the PSP was not present.
A PCP source added to Lusa that the Lisbon City Council and the PSP reported the Carris, but no company received it, so there was no change in the bus routes, causing traffic constraints.
