More than 4.2 million people have already taken a booster dose in Portugal

By the end of the afternoon of this Saturday, January 22, more than 4.2 million people had already received a booster dose of vaccines in Portugal. The latest data were advanced by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) and some health procedures.
On the last day alone, there were more than 81 booster shots. It is the age group over 80 that is most advanced in the process, with 92 percent. In those aged 50 to 59, 907,000 vaccines were given, about 64 percent of this population.
Portuguese people over 35 can now schedule the booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. For those who are 18 or over and who have been inoculated with the Janssen vaccine 90 or more days ago, scheduling is also open.
On Friday, the January Open House opened, with over 50 years old who would take the booster dose. This is also the age from which it is possible to receive the flu vaccine dose as announced this Saturday, the 22nd.
