MONACO

Monaco (3-2): The summary of the Ligue 1 match day 22

Sugar Mizzy January 23, 2022

The match between Montpellier and Monaco, counting for the 22th day of Ligue 1, was played at the Mosson stadium. It was with a final result of 3 to 2 that Monaco suffered a defeat against a Montpellier team in good shape. Mavididi made his opponents suffer today, as he finished with a brace. In addition to the latter, we will also remember the big game of Wahi, who marked the meeting with his assist and his goal. Dall’Oglio chose to place his Montpellier group in a classic 4-4-2, with Wahi and Germain in attack to face Clément’s 3-4-3, who took the match seriously with Ben Yedder and Diop in attack.

The first half started well for the Paillade club when the team managed to surprise the Monegasques on the 14thth minute (realization of Wahi on a Wahi service). Then, at the 32th and on a service from Tchouaméni, Mavididi allowed Montpellier to take off. In the process, the Monegasque club reacted to the 34th thanks to Ben Yedder. The scoreboard therefore indicated 2-1 when the referee whistled the end of the first period of play. Then, Vanderson equalized at the 82th, allowing ASM to come back to score. At the 91th, in extra time, the match definitely tipped in favor of MHSC, thanks to a goal from Mavididi.

Caio Henrique received a yellow card, as well as Aguilar and Mavididi.

Montpellier’s victory in this last match made it gain 3 places, allowing it to overtake Monaco. The club is now in 6th position. Monaco drops to 7th place, losing a place following this defeat.
