For the third time in three weeks, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur face each other again in what is always an entertaining Premier League match.

These two teams faced each other in the semifinals of this season’s Carabao Cup, Chelsea came out on top in two rounds with a 3-0 victory in total and the Blues beat the Spurs by the same score in their league meeting in September last year.

While Chelsea have dominated this season’s previous meetings against Spurs, Thomas Tuchel’s team has failed to win one of their last two Premier League matches with the German coach blaming the lack of rest for his team’s mixed performances.

Tottenham, meanwhile, will be full of confidence ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge after an exciting 3-2 win away to Leicester City in the middle of the week. Two stoppage time goals from Steven Bergwijn saw the Spurs come from 2-1 down to defeat the Foxes 3-2.

A win over Chelsea would put Spurs in the top four, while three points for Chelsea would help secure a UEFA Champions League place next season and keep alive any faint hope of chasing the raging leaders Manchester City.
