Arkalochori: Problems, due to low temperatures, in the air conditioners in the houses of the earthquake victims | HELLAS
The very low temperatures that prevail in the snowy Arkalochori and wider in the Municipality of Minoa Pediados, made the heating with the air conditioners problematic in the houses where the earthquake victims live.
As the president of the Association of Earthquake Victims, Markos Kokolakis, told APE-MPE, since the morning, attempts have been made to find stoves and fan heaters, while so far the problem is located in 35 houses.
“We managed to find some heaters that were in warehouses of the municipality to solve the problem in some houses. At the moment, however, in ten houses in Arkalochori, in ten more in Champagne, in eight in Bonn and in seven houses in Humeri, people do not have heating and this is a problem because in these areas the temperature is zero and at night it will fall more “said Mr. Kokolakis who appealed to anyone who can provide a heating medium,” so that people who are currently having difficulty, have at least a warm environment to get through these difficult days. “
As mentioned by Mr. Kokolakis, there is no problem with the electricity, but with the air conditioners that due to the low temperature, can not operate and heat the houses.
