State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet called the words of the head of the German Navy, Vice Admiral Kai-Achim Schönbach, about the belongings of the Crimea, a signal from Western countries that it was time to determine the status of the Russian peninsula. He predicted by the Europeans the territory of Crimea, part of Russia in a conversation with RIA News.

The MP noted that it is time to stop political games and reveal the Russian status of Crimea.

“I am sure that the Europeans recognize that Crimea is Russia. But that’s not what matters. The important thing is that the Crimeans consider themselves citizens of Russia and that Russia considers the majority to be its part. Crimea has always been, is and will be Russian. And let those who can use Crimea to direct and put pressure on Russia will kill it on their noses,” Sheremet clarifies.

According to him, after so much time after the referendum in 2014, “sanity woke up.”

Earlier it was reported that the Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Forces (Navy) of Germany, Vice Admiral Kaya-Achim Schönbach, resigned. It became known that the Crimea will never fall into Ukraine. German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht discussed Schönbach’s remarks with Bundeswehr Inspector General Eberhard Zorn at an emergency meeting. They came to the conclusion that Schönbach should openly reveal his words.
