OC Barcelos wins Biblioteca IR and advances in the Portuguese Cup
Minhotos made it to the round of 16 of the competition.
In the late afternoon of this Saturday, OC Barcelos rumored to the Amável dos Santos Pereira Pavilion, in Nazaré, to face the IR Library. The game, at the 16th round of the Portuguese Cup, ended with a 6-2 victory for the Minho team.
The duel started well for the blues and whites, with the most accurate opportunities and greater dominance in the match, forcing or facing a rebellion. Six minutes before the break, Dario Giménez opened the scoring in Nazaré. However, despite the Minho advantage in the first one, the IR Library proved to be persistent and did not give up.
After the break time, the Minho entered the game with the desire to increase the advantage. On the way to the second minute, Danilo Rampulla, in an individual move in the central aisle, conceded the goal to the Barcelenses. Nuno Peça, goalkeeper of the house, did not get the goal again for the blues and whites. This time, Miguel Rocha gave the team the third. A few seconds later, assisted by Miguel Rocha, Darío Giménez scored twice in the match, making it 4-0.
The Biblioteca IR team rose on the field of play and Orlando Fernandes scored the first for the home team. Immediately, OC Barcelos reacted. Through a forward socket in the forward zone, Alvarinho threw a hand of forward protection, not a hand for the device, to the bottom of the nets to avoid the guard.
The game continues with a lot of pressure and intensity. However, the team led by Pedro Almeida showed difficulties in leaving for the game, and it was Joca Guimarães who extended the Barcelense advantage. Still at the end of time, David Costa, through the conversion of a direct free-kick, signaled the second for Biblioteca IR and closed the result at 2-6.
With this favorable result, Neto equips Rui’s command to go ahead in the Portuguese Cup. In the departure scheduled for the next 29th of January, at 15:00h, the CO Barcelos will travel to the stronghold of HC Turquel, for round 16 of the championship.
