MHSC: a group without Savanier but expected to receive Monaco
Montpellier coach Olivier Dall’Oglio has selected a group of 18 players, including the suspended Savanier, to face Monaco this Sunday, January 23 at La Mosson.
Without Savanier or surprise. While he will have to compose without his captain and playmaker, suspended, Montpellier HSC will receive Monaco with an expected group, this Sunday (5:05 p.m.) during the 22nd day of Ligue 1.
Téji Savanier absent for three matches since his expulsion against Troyes (0-1) on Wednesday, coach Olivier Dall’Oglio called up 18 players without the already known absentees: the injured Estève, Mendes, the Cameroonian international Oyongo, at the CAN, as well as Guermouche.
While the group was tested this Saturday at Covid-19, the Pailladin technician will be able to rely in particular on Jordan Ferri, captain this Sunday in the absence of Savanier, but also Stephy Mavididi and Valère Germain.
Absences in Monaco, doubt for Golovine
The three players will, however, be absent in a week in Marseille. Ferri and Mavididi will be suspended while Germain will miss the round of 16 of the Coupe de France on Saturday January 29 for finger surgery.
In Monaco, several absences are already acquired. Affected in the hamstrings in Nantes (0-0) on January 9, Sidibé, Badiashile and Boadu are still forfeited, as is Diatta, who has been injured for a long time.
This will also be the case for Fabregas, in the recovery phase. Back in training, Golovin may not be fully ready.
