Székesfehérvár – In a big battle, the defending Debrecen guard fought to reach the final of Sunday with a disciplined game.

This weekend, the EXIM Hungarian Cup Final Four will be held at the Gábor Ocskay Jr. Ice Rink in Székesfehérvár. The two semi-finals were on Saturday, followed by the bronze match (14.05) and the final (17.15) on Sunday.

The winner of last year’s series, the band from Debrecen, of course went to battle for their participation in the gold match on Saturday.

The two finalists of the latest competition, the defending champion DEAC and the Hydro Fehérvár in the ICEHL, made it to the final four in the final four, while DVTK Polar Bears and FTC-Telekom won their roles through two qualifying rounds.

Among the people of Debrecen a Norbert Hári, who suffered a shoulder injury, was unable to play the game, but key people and young talents who have been playing hockey extremely usefully and agilely recently can also be deployed.

DEAC and DVTK met at the Eastern Hungary Summit. The two teams have already finished their four regular season matches in the season, all of them won by Debrecen (2-0 and 5-3 in Miskolc, 5-4 and 5-4 in Debrecen), but in neither case there was a difference of more than two goals between the parties.

This time, this difference was already formed, already in the first third. The Borsodians respond quickly to the leading goal of Dávid Molnár from DEAC, but then two hits from Debrecen followed. First, Balázs Gőz started his own goal, kicking the puck into the goal from the air with a great tennis back, then Jordan Klimek’s shot from a distance landed in the cage of Diósgyőr. It was only 13 seconds from the third when DVTK built with another “apron goal” (3-2).

The DVTK equalized during the second third fighter game, but the DEAC came out of the case: before the Seto hit, the Borsodians had a bad substitution, they had six field players on the ice at the same time – so they invalidated the hit and the team’s two-minute penalty. The human advantage in Debrecen was replaced by Rastislav Spirko, so the result was 4-2 instead of iksz.

In the final third, the fighting team dictated a great pace, taking advantage of a man-friendly situation, they managed to reduce their disadvantage to a goal in the 48th minute, but the DEAC defended in a disciplined and very effective manner, and even in the 58th minute, Sági Martin scored significant end result. The DVTK still tried to lead the attacks with the six field players, but the Hetényi successfully defended their castle.

So he won five out of five races in the season against his team from Diósgyőr against the team of the University of Debrecen, triumphing against the Polar Bears after an enjoyable match.

On Sunday at 5.15pm in the battle for the trophy, there will be last year’s winning DEAC – the opponent is the winner of the Fehérvár-FTC meeting.

Semifinal:

DEAC – DVTK Polar Bears 5-3 (3-2, 1-0, 1-1)
