Gap beaten in Rouen, Chamonix goes on
Gap victim of Rouen youth
They had never beaten them this season, defeated twice in as many confrontations so far (3-1, 0-3). They finally succeeded (6-3). In the most unlikely way and at the most unlikely time. While they were missing nine players (Chakiachvili, Guttig, Reynaud, Cantagallo, Gilbert, Yeo, Guimond, Johnston and Vigners) and Fabrice Lhenry, their coach, all injured or positive for Covid. That was a lot.
A lot but not enough to prevent these Dragons, greatly rejuvenated for the occasion – 9 of the 18 players on the score sheet were 21 years old or less – from signing their first success of the season against the Raptors of Gap. A success that the Haut-Alpins, led by the score from start to finish, never reached their opponent.

Chamonix continues its winning streak
Chamonix took the lead in a contested game in which the two teams went blow for blow, with an advantage in the number of shots on goal. The Pioneers opened the scoring through Cerny after 4 minutes of play, before being overtaken by a goal from Haimovici shortly after half-time.
The match remained close, and Delemps restored the advantage to Chamonix in the second period, before Laasko set the record straight for Mulhouse. Then it was Salonen, in numerical superiority, who once again gave the advantage to the pioneers.
It was not until the 48th minute that Mulhouse came back to score again, through ex-Chamoniard Jordan Mugnier. The two teams failing to decide between themselves in regulation time, the extension took place at Illberg,
Despite an injury suffered by Labelle for late play, Chamoniard’s power-play, still as inefficient (12 minutes of superiority in the game and a goal) did not find itself the fault, and Chamonix in turn was evolving in inferiority for the also a surplus.
The shots on goal were necessary to decide between the two teams and in this little game it was Marinaccio and Kazarine who deceived Morrone, while Sabol defeated all Mulhousiennes attempts.
Samuel Salonen is elected MVP of the match and Chamonix continues its good series and pockets two other precious points.
