Brussels opens support scheme for sustainable agri-food products
The European Commission has opened a subsidy scheme for the promotion of European agricultural products and the EU and beyond. Trade and producer organizations can apply.
The total budget is 185.9 million euros. Of this, 176.4 million euros is intended for the co-financing of PhD programs to be selected from the proposals. The funding will support in that area.

Ten slots are being developed for high potential markets such as Japan, South Korea or ada. The European Commission expects campaigns to increase the consumption and competitiveness of EU agri-food products by increasing their awareness and expanding their market in the larger country.

The proposals will be assessed on the sustainability of the production and consumption criteria, input and animal welfare objectives of the European policy (CAP) and the farm-to-fork strategy.
Proposals must be broadcast by April 21 at the latest. In the autumn, the Commission will announce which organizations will receive the subsidies. It European Research Executive Agency (REA) offers a number of tools to help submit their proposals successfully. On 1 and 2 February 2022, REA will organize an information day about this scheme.
