In full readiness to deal with it bad weather “Hope” is the Region of Attica. In collaboration with ISA, it establishes five Special Units for Immediate Intervention – Release of patients and citizens during severe weather events.
At 9:30 on Sunday morning it will take place operational exercise of the units in the parking lot of the cable car in Parnitha, in the presence of the Attica Regional Governor and President of ISA G. Patoulis
The establishment of five Special Units for Immediate Intervention and Release of patients and citizens during the intense phenomena, following a relevant suggestion of the Attica Regional Governor and President of ISA. G. Patouli.
The relevant action, which started with the participation of ISA and the staff of the Business Center (KEPIX), aims to provide immediate assistance to our sick fellow citizens during the difficult period of intense events and phenomena.
The process of setting up the specific units which will be moved with has already proceeded special type tracked vehicles which will be staffed with Doctors, Psychologists, Nurses and staff specially trained in Civil Protection issues. To better serve citizens in trouble, the call center 1110, which has been created by the Region and the ISA for the immediate treatment of pandemic issues, will be used from Sunday, January 23 and to record requests for assistance to patients who are trapped.
Business exercise of the units
Tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning there will be an operational exercise of the five special units in the parking of the cable car in Parnitha. During the relevant exercise, the Regional Director G. Patoulis will give the basic directions and instructions for the mission and how to repeat them.
On the occasion of the relevant development, the Attica Regional Governor and President of ISA G. Patoulis stated:
“The security and protection of citizens is our top priority. By setting up emergency response units, we are actively contributing to the effort to protect the health and safety of our fellow citizens in need. Those interested will be able to contact the four-digit number 1110 from tomorrow in order to submit their requests, which will be prioritized and satisfied as soon as possible. I warmly thank both the medical and nursing staff of KEPIX, as well as the executives of the Region and the ISA who contributed in order to set up these combat units of immediate intervention. With concrete interventions and substantial work, we remain at the forefront for the protection and life of our fellow citizens “.
