Are you planning to go to France or Luxembourg soon? Here are the health rules you will have to follow!
Between the health pass, the future vaccination pass in France, the Covid 2G+ regime in Luxembourg, it is sometimes not easy to know if you are respecting the various health measures when crossing the border.
2G+ regime in Luxembourg
From January 15 and until February 28 inclusive, if you have to go to our Luxembourg neighbors, you will have to submit to what is called the Covid “2G+” regime. This regime is valid for cafes, bars and restaurants but also for sports or cultural activities bringing together more than 10 people simultaneously. Anyone aged 12 and over is subject to “2G+”.
To be able to sit, for example, inside or outside a restaurant, you must present: a valid vaccination certificate; or a valid certificate of reinstatement. If you have not yet received a booster vaccination, you must also: carry out a rapid antigen self-test on site, which must be negative; or present a valid negative test certificate. Wearing a mask is still compulsory on public transport or in closed places such as shops or supermarkets.
Vaccination pass in France
If in France, it is the health pass that reigned until now, the rules will be evaluated from this Monday, January 24 with the introduction of the vaccination pass. The French government announced Thursday evening the lifting, in February, of most of the restrictions taken to curb the epidemic: end of wearing a mask outdoors and compulsory teleworking, reopening of nightclubs and return of standing concerts. “We will be able in February to lift most of the restrictions taken to curb the epidemic thanks to the new vaccination pass which will come into force next Monday”, announced the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, during a press conference in Matignon.
The government has also announced that the vaccination pass, replacing the health pass for people aged 16 and over, will come into effect from Monday. This pass will be used to access leisure activities, restaurants and drinking establishments, fairs, seminars and trade shows and interregional public transport. It will therefore be necessary to justify a complete and up-to-date vaccination schedule to access these different places or to be able to present a certificate of recovery attesting to a prior infection with Covid. The option of being tested will therefore no longer be possible.
