In the columns of Nice morning, this Friday, January 21, Stéphanie de Monaco was part of her disappointment at having to once again cancel her famous International Circus Festival.
For the second consecutive year, the International Festival of Monte Carlo circus is canceled, due to the Covid-19 crisis. The president, Stephanie of Monaco, is “very disapointed”, as she explained to Nice morning, this Friday, January 21. “The health constraints were enormous. Under a marquee, where we work together all day, we are all in contact”, said the 56-year-old Monegasque, who had no choice but to make the decision to postpone the event to 2023, with a heavy heart.
“I had this moral and ethical responsibility to have to cancel the glasses in the event of positive tests. In addition, we were not allowed to welcome fairground people outside the marquee, the party would not have been the same with all these constraints.“, said the sister of Caroline of Monaco, realistic. Given the context, the mother of Louis, Pauline Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb is convinced of one thing, namely that with her teams, she has “made the only decision there was to make” and that they were “guided by caution” first of all. “It’s sad, but we understand that everything will be better next year,” added Stéphanie of Monaco, aware that “a lot of people are disappointed”. Of course, those concerned can have their tickets refunded.
A charity football match still planned
Looking back, the princess sees the glass half full: “It’s better to be reasonable, wait another year and we’ll do it big next year.” At the same time, even if the Festival cannot take place, the Fight Aids Cup will take place on Monday January 24. He is fidgeting a charity football match organized by Louis Ducruet. Something to make your mom proud: “Louis has gone to great lengths to organize this Fight Aids Cup. And I hope the event will continue.”
